The 1st Round of the 2003 Australian F1 Powerboat Tour headed to Queensland, and Bundaberg was the host city. Craig Bailey was the favourite and Bob and Dave Trask were there, Bob purchasing the title winning Burgess from Graham Jeffers and coming out of retirement.

The 2004 F1 Powerboat Tour was a hard fought Series, to kick it off the teams headed up to Ballina on the Northern NSW Coast, Australia. Craig Bailey was in a borrowed boat and Dave Trask had arrived with a brand new GTR. This is Round 1 from Ballina.
Teams headed to Bundaberg for Round 2 of the 2004 Australian F1 Powerboat Tour. Dave Trask was back in his new GTR boat, and rookie Rhys Coles had recently made the step up to F1. Jeremy Crook, Mark Evans and Brett Atkinson were all there as well, all the action from Rd 2.
For Round 3 the F1 Powerboat Tour headed to Dargle Valley in NSW, the "Bathurst on Water". Gavin Bricker now starting to pressure Craig Bailey for points as was new driver Rhys Coles.
The 2004 F1 Powerboat Tour was in Newcastle Harbour as part of the Maritime Festival for Round 5. Craig Bailey was getting closer to a record 7th National Title, but the always rough harbour conditions still had to be conquered for maximum points.
